How to Build a Loft Bed
Once both rails are cut, attach them to the support posts with screws. Then, add a safety step by attaching one of the 2×4 end rails to each of the support posts at the same elevation as the side rails. This will transfer the weight of the mattress onto the longer board of each leg, preventing it from sagging.
